Rodney J. McKinley was the 15th Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force. He held the highest noncommissioned officer position from June 30, 2006, to June 30, 2009. 
Role and Responsibilities: As the Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force (CMSAF), he served as the personal adviser to the Chief of Staff and the Secretary of the Air Force on all issues regarding the welfare, readiness, morale, and proper utilization and progress of the enlisted force. 
Career: McKinley enlisted in the Air Force in 1974 and served as a medic before separating to pursue education. He later rejoined the Air Force and had a distinguished career, retiring as the 15th CMSAF.
