U.S. Army Security Agency School. The Latin motto 'Vigiles Salutis' means "Sentinels of Security." The shool was created to train security operatives for the 'Cold War." The units designation and this design was approved in 1953. The basic shape is a square shield of blue, with a sphinx (symbolic of wisdom, silence, and closed-mouth conduct) headed, rampant Lion clutching bolts of lightning (representing electronic communication). The figure is silver metallic with engraved details and red enameled claws. The banner and motto mentioned above, wraps around the bottom of the shield.
