Approved on 26 June 1990, the 111th Aviation Regi-ment Distinctive Unit Insignia, also called a unit crest or a DUI, is comprised of the shield from the coat of arms and the addition of the unit motto, “Air Warrior Air Attack,” on an attached scroll. Today, the Regiment falls under the control of the Florida Army National Guard’s 83rd Troop Command, with its 1st Battalion based at Jacksonville and its subordinate units stationed in Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, and Puerto Rico. The 2nd Battalion is based at Camp Blanding, Flori
