Design Approved March 19, 1925. Maroon and White (silver) are colors for the medial corps, indicating the function of the original organization. The fess, wavy Blue, symbolizes crossing the sea with the American Expeditionary Forces. Service on the Mexican border as the 1st Ambulance Company is represented by the Lone Star of Texas with a giant catus. The six fleurs-de-lis represent participation in six campaigns during World War I as the 101st Sanitary Train assigned to the 26th Division. The crest is that of the Massachuetts Army National Guard. Motto "Semper Adjuvare" (always to Aid). Campaigns: World War I-Ile de France 1918, Lorraine 1918, Champagne-Marne, Aisne-Marne, St. Mihiel, Meuse-Argonne; World War II-Guadalcanal, Northern Solomons, Leyte, Southern Philippines, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes-Alsace, Central Europe
