The 695th Support Battalion Distinctive Unit Insignia, also called a “unit crest,” was originally approved for the 695th Maintenance Battalion on 19 November 1969. A spanner, or wrench, with five rondels represents the five echelons of Maintenance (Supply, Ordnance, Transportation, Medical, and Military Police). It is superimposed over a black annulet that alludes to one of its missions, the supervision and operation of a tire repair Company.

A pair of stars bookending the spanner is a reference to the origins of the unit based upon the COSTAR (Combat Service To the ARmy) concept that emerged in the mid-1960s. They also stand for two units, the 77th Infantry Division and the 301st Logistical Command, that the Battalion was associated with. “Prepared To Serve” was the Battalion motto.

It is not clear when the insignia was redesignated for the 695th Support Battalion, nor does the 695th Support Battalion appear to be an active Army unit.
